Scientific Name: Polystichum acrostichoides

Common Name: Christmas Fern

Family: Dryopteridaceae

Description: The evergreen fronds of this fern are thick and the stalks scaly. Minutely toothed leaflets have an 'ear'. Fertile leaflets are smaller and near the tip. There are two rows of spore cases. Grows in woods and along streambanks.
