Description: The leaves of this hardy fern are leathery, smooth and evergreen due to variations in moisture and weather conditions. The leaflets cut almost to the stalk. The rootstocks intertwine on shaded, mossy rocks in the woods where it can many times be found. It will tolerate light shade and neutral soil conditions. Best progagated by division.
