Scientific Name: Athyrium pycnocarpon

Common Name: Glade Fern

Family: Dryopteridaceae

Description: The stalks of this fern are green and without hairs. Thin, sterile fronds arch slightly with unlobed leaflets while the taller fertile fronds are straight with smaller and more widely separated leaflets. The spore cases are located along the veins in closely spaced lines. Grows in rich woods, ravines and rocky hillsides.
