Goldback Fern

Scientific Name: Pityrogramma triangularis

Common Name: Goldback Fern

Family: Pteridaceae

Description: The distinctive fronds of this fern are triangular, twice divided, green on the top and bright yellow to white below. The spore cases are scattered along the veins on the underside of the fronds. It can be found growing along streambanks and in damp crevices on rocky slopes in shade.
