Common Name: Interruped Fern

Family: Osmundaceae

Description: A deciduous fern that grows in clumps with fronds that are slightly longer at the center of the stalk. The fertile fronds are interrupted by spore bearing leaflets, resembling those of the cinnamon fern, near the center.(or bare in center area.) Other fronds arch outward and leaflets are not cut to the vein. Grows on roadsides and in moist woods. Propagate by spores or division.
