Japanese Climbing Fern

Common Name: Japanese Climbing Fern

Family: Lygodiaceae

Description: The fronds of this fern appear almost vinelike. The long, sterile leaflets are usually divided twice, triangular in shape with a pointed tip. Spore cases can be located on the small fertile leaflets which are narrow projections. This fern can be seen sprawling over other plants and located in open woods, roadsides, brush areas and streambanks.
