Description: As the name implies, this fern enjoys wet places. The lowest pair of leaflets are as long as, or slightly shorter than the next pair. The fertile leaflets are on the tallest fronds having branched veins and rolled over edges. The rows of spore cases are not near the edge of the leaflets. Grows well in swamps, marshes, wet woods and meadows.
