Netted Chain Fern

Common Name: Netted Chain Fern

Family: Blechnaceae

Description: This Diciduous, hardy fern has frontds with unpaired leaflets. Most are not cut to the stalk and have netlike veins. Sterile fronds are dark green while the fertile fronds are more erect with narrow leaflets. There are 2 chainlike rows of spore cases. This fern can be found in moist places such as bogs and swamps as well as in shade.
