Description: This hardy, deciduous type of fern grows in large clumps from a rootball. The stalks appear reddish in shade and subleaflets are large. Spore cases grow in dense clusters at the top of fronds resembling blooms. It grows in marshes and swamps in light shade. Propagate by division or spores.
