Smooth Cliff Brake

Scientific Name: Pellaea glabella

Common Name: Smooth Cliff Brake

Family: Pteridaceae

Description: Very similar to Purple Cliff Brake but this smaller fern has hairless stalks, is shinier and appears redder in color. The sterile and fertile fronds look alike. A rolled edge of the leaflet covers the spore cases. Grows well in the crevices of limestone.
