Description: The arching fronds of this fern are very lacy which adds to it's beauty. The first downward-pointing subleaflet on the lowest triangular leaflets are usually longer than it's opposite. The stalks are scaly and this fern has kidney-shaped spore case clusters. It grows in marshes, swamps and damp woods.
